ProjectLibre is a great resource that I’ve often recommended to those who were just implementing Project Management methodology into their company and wanted to try out the use of a program without investing fully in MS Project. It’s certainly got its issues but it is constantly improving and offers a whole suite of products (ProjectOffice as well as Draw for Visio users) to complement facilitate its usefulness. I’ve recently implemented it for use in the film production world too and it seems a great starting place for the creative community providing standard gantt function, ease of use and low cost (free) implementation.
It was cool to see Computerworld throw out some love to it recently–and a good excuse to extol it here as well.

Thank you for the nice blog…. we are continually improving ProjectLibre and will have a late Fall release which is a re-write that makes ProjectLibre modular. There will be a lot of activity and news coming out. Thank you for the coverage, it is appreciated as one of the biggest challenges is getting the word out!
All the best,
Marc
Woah! I’m really loving the template/theme of this site.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very hard to get that “perfect balance” between usability and appearance.
I must say you’ve done a excellent job with this. Additionally, the blog loads super quick for me
on Opera. Outstanding Blog!
